All absentee ballots were mailed by 2/25/25 for voters who already had a valid request on file. To see when your absentee ballot was mailed or to check your voter registration status, you may enter your information into the NH Secretary of State’s website.
To request an absentee ballot, please complete an Absentee Ballot Application and return it to the Town Clerk’s office. Requests can be delivered to the clerk by mail, drop box, email, fax, or in person. Please bring a photo ID when requesting or delivering an absentee ballot in person.
You must be registered to vote in order to vote absentee. If you are not currently registered to vote, please contact the Town Clerk’s office for information on how to register. The last day to register to vote in the Town Clerk’s office before this election is Friday, February 28th. You may also register to vote with the Supervisors of the Checklist at Town Hall on Saturday, March 1st between 10 and 10:30 am or at the polls on election day (not at Town Meeting).
Once you have received your absentee ballot and completed it according to the instructions, you may return it to the Town Clerk’s office via mail or in-person. You may also designate a Delivery Agent to bring your marked ballot to the Town Clerk on your behalf. Only certain individuals may act as a Delivery Agent, including the voter’s spouse, parent, child, or sibling. If you choose to have someone else drop off your completed ballot, we will ask to see their government-issued photo ID and have them complete an Absentee Ballot Return form.
Marked absentee ballots CANNOT be returned in our drop box. The Town Clerk’s office is open to the public Monday – Friday from 7:30 am – 4 pm. We will stay open until 5 pm on Monday, March 10th for absentee ballot purposes ONLY.
Absentee ballots must be received by the Town Clerk by 5 pm on election day in order to be counted. Please contact us with any questions at (603) 476-2347 or TownClerk@MoultonboroughNH.gov
