Lillie - January 2025
"Lillie is 10-year-old Soft-coated Wheaton Terrier. She enjoys being with people of all ages and is always eager to give and receive hugs and kisses. Lillie loves living in Moultonborough where she is always up for a hike or to sit on the front stoop to watch the bears, deer, chipmunks, mink, and frogs that live outside her house. She enjoys the change in seasons but particularly loves to hop in the snow."
-
Quest - February 2025
"Quest is a 7-year-old Black Labrador Retriever and German Shepard mix who was rescued off the streets of Mississippi when he was only 10 weeks old by the Hope Animal Sanctuary. He and his brothers, all with “Q” names, made their way via transfer to NH’s Human Society. That is where he was adopted by his human family (Mom, Dad, older Sister and Brother). Quest is very loyal, loves to be with his family and often follows them around like a shadow. He is fun, energetic and highly intelligent, frequently making his wishes known through eye contact, body language or vocalizations (barks, whines, and even sighs). Quest is crazy about the water and will swim in the lake whenever he can, it’s his favorite activity! He also enjoys daily walks, catching snowballs in the winter, lying in the sun, tagging along for car rides when running errands or dropping his siblings off at school. He’s also a pro at opening presents. Happy Birthday to Quest who turns 8 this month! We all know he’s itching to open those presents!"

Nala - March 2025
"Hi, my name is Nala! I’m a Pomeranian/Husky that loves the outdoors, especially the snow."
-
Finn - April 2025
"Finn is a handsome Black Lab that came to our family at one year old. How could anyone give him up?? He still acts like a puppy at 10 ½ years old and he loves to be outside chasing balls, running in the woods or swimming in Lake Winnipesauke. Finn might be large with a loud bark, but he is very gentle and loving. In the winter, he can often be found sitting on the lap of anyone sitting in a recliner. He truly loves his people and protects them by chasing away squirrels and birds in the yard."
-
Leyna - May 2025
"Leyna is a 9 year old Long haired German Shepard. She enjoys her quiet life in Moultonborough, laying in the grass and barking at passersby, with her par-ents and 10 month old human brother! Leyna was born on the summer solstice and loves the sunshine."
-
Poco - June 2025
"RIP Poco. 2 Year Old American Bully. Loved TV time and bedtime with Dad. Fastest recall ever and a perfect sit. You took a piece of my heart with you. Gone too soon."
-
Dewey - July 2025
"Dewey arrived in Moultonboro in 2017. It was supposed to be a short stay but he soon became a foster failure. He knew Moultonboro had so much to offer he did not want to live any place else and decided to call this home. As with a lot of dogs he enjoys rides, daily walks, chasing squirrels and chipmunks. He also enjoys laying in the brook in the summer and rolling in the snow in the winter. He is honored to be “Dog of the Month”."
-
Aaden - August 2025
"Aaden is our 3-year-old Cunucu, we got him as a puppy from the beaches of Aruba. He immediately stole our hearts. He loves sniffing on long walks looking for deer, playing fetch with his ball and cuddling. He isn’t a fan of fireworks or rain but will sunbathe for hours in the summer. He is most happy by our side, or trying to sneak a bite of a good donut."
-
Ruby - September 2025 & 2026 Dog of the Year
"Ruby, our chihuahua-minpin-spaniel mix, has a way of making people want a dog just like her. She is a happy and relaxed love-bug and we are so lucky this little momma relocated to New Hampshire to be part of our family in April 2020. She was a little on the weary side after recently weaning 5 little girl puppies, Opal, Sapphire, Topaz, Pearl, and Emerald. They arrived from Texas via Lifesaver's rescue group and Ruby immediately reclaimed her energetic spirit, cuddly curves, and shiny coat. She is always up for a hike, a 2ish mile run, or a leisurely stroll around our Skyland Park neighborhood, preferably followed by a luxurious nap. Ruby is thankful to be featured as the Dog of the Month—Please vote for her for Dog of the Year!"
-
Evie - October 2025
“Sweet Evie is a 12+ year old German Shepherd who began her journey with us in Alabama. She is now enjoying her retirement years in Moultonboro with mom and dad. Evie loves lounging in the yard, notifying everyone of deliveries, playing with her squeaky toys, helping around the house and munching on her daily treats. Evie’s mobility has significantly declined this year but she continues to smile and enjoy her life. She is our special girl and we love her so much. Evie is honored to be Dog of the Month.”
-
Barker - November 2025
“My name is Barker, and my two favorite things in the whole world are food and belly rubs. I have a very important job in my family: I am the Official Squirrel Chaser, and I’m very good at it. My family thinks I’m weird because I don’t like to go swimming, but I’d really rather just take a long nap on the couch in the sun.”
-
Odin - December 2025
"Odin is a beloved companion known for his affectionate and playful nature. He thrives on spending time with his humans and is happiest when surrounded by those he trusts. His signature curly mohawk has become a favorite feature among friends and neighbors, adding to his charming and unique appearance. While Odin can experience social anxiety in unfamiliar settings, he feels most comfortable and secure when accompanied by familiar faces. His cuddly demeanor and goofy personality make him a joy to be around, and he continues to bring warmth and smiles to everyone who knows him."
